Good BBQ and a nice old atmosphere with reasonable prices. Were there for lunch on a Sunday and no crowd. Everyone in our group liked it.
Everything you’re looking for in a local BBQ joint. Simple menu with all of the classics along with combo plate options. The meat is tender, juicy and the potato salad was just what I was looking for. The BBQ sauce on the table was more tomato based than I’m used to but had a nice depth of flavor. I will be coming back!
This place serves the best BBQ, also had great burgers. The service was fast and waitress was very friendly. The atmosphere was sports related which was good for all In my group.

Hands down, the single best BBQ I've ever had in my life. I asked what the waitresses favorite item was and she recommended the chicken, as it had just come off the smoker. By God, it was the most juicy, flavorful, smoky piece of chicken I've had. I wept silently, thinking of all the times I thought I had good bbq before. What a fool I was. Luckily, there were plenty of napkins to dry my eyes off with to continue enjoying. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean. Anyone in even an hour's drive of this place should come and visit, as it was a divine gift for me to stumble upon it and it will haunt my dreams, as I crave it till the next time I'm in the area.
Great local bar-b-q spot. Best local bbq (outside of Owensboro). Ribs, bbq chicken, pulled pork were all excellent. The fries were awesome. The “soak” sandwich was interesting, but not sure I’ll go for it in the future, the bread is truly soaked with the bbq sauce, great flavor but hard to get past the soggy bread. Little dark inside, but Fun atmosphere with Otters and other local sports memorabilia on the walls. Super friendly service and very kid friendly
We had Hickory Pit BBQ cater us at Old National Bank on 1st Ave...they went above and beyond on the food and service!! We had the pulled pork, pulled barbecue chicken, baked beans and the best Mac and cheese we've ever eaten!! I ordered a separate mutton because it's the best mutton I've ever eaten So we want to just say a great big thank you to Cameron who not only delivered our food but helped set it up in our kitchen for us, provided bread,plates and all the silverware and napkins, pickles and onions with our meal Everyone who had never eaten here was already asking me where they were located Best day ever!! This place is on point. Racks of ribs, pulled pork ,baked beans,potato salad all very good. The sauce is all so slapping. Also brought us a pitcher of tea this is a huge plus for me I hate having to ask or wait for refills.
